Day three has come and gone for the Arizona Cardinals in Cards Camp 2018 and the pads are officially on.
It brought out the physicality that Head Coach Steve Wilks has talked about frequently since he took over.
It was most apparent on the offensive line as the Cardinals did quite the job clearing the way for David Johnson in offense versus defense work.
Now, as we settle into the next couple weeks of camp, we will have to deal with no open practices on Tuesday or Wednesday, the next one coming on Thursday. It was also the first time in a long time that the Cardinals practiced early in the day.
Steve Wilks explained why on Monday:
“Guys have time to recover, get in the training room and take care of their bodies.” Wilks also added it gives the Cardinals the ability to have extra meetings and do more film review.
Wilks is changing little things to see if they have a big impact.
