It has been quite the offseason for the Arizona Cardinals.
Their overall turnover has lead to a number of prognosticators being down on the team heading into the season.
Well, don't count Gil Brandt among those pundits:
Spending time at #Cardinals camp. I think Michael Bidwill's team will be much better than people predict. If OL can do anything offense will be explosive w/ Fitz and Johnson. Bradford looked exceptional. Rookie RB Edmonds stood out. We talk Cards tonight (6-9 ET) on @SiriusXMNFL. pic.twitter.com/vdmelGJ991

So impressed after observing Steve Wilks the last couple of days at Cardinals camp. AZ hit a HR with the bases loaded with this hire. Runs a great practice, so organized. And in total command. Also, if Sam Bradford can stay healthy, he has a chance to be great with this team.

It's quite the departure from what a number of publications think, but seeing the Arizona Cardinals first hand, Brandt has a much different take on the Cardinals moving forward.
He sees the obvious questions, namely the health of Sam Bradford and whether or not the offensive line will improve, but he also sees that the team has talent.
Offensively, Bradford is an accurate quarterback who can thrive under the guidance of Mike McCoy, while it should give Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson even more opportunities to dominate.
Brandt also noted how talented a player rookie Chase Edmonds looks to be, which will take some of the pressure off of David Johnson in 2018.
Not much is expected of the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, but Gil Brandt sure likes the direction the team is going.
