The Arizona Cardinals have now made one move after their 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The team announced today that they have released wide receiver Rashad Ross and signed undrafted free agent receiver Austin Wolf, from the team:
Wolf (6-3, 190) is an undrafted rookie free agent from Akron. He played in 42 games (23 starts) during his college career and had 83 receptions for 1,322 yards (15.9-yard avg.) and 13 touchdowns. As a senior, Wolf played in all 12 games (11 starts) and had 33 receptions for 476 yards and five touchdowns.
Wolf will wear jersey #15.
Wolf was not exactly a productive wide receiver in college, and from the Akron team site, he does not have any experience returning punts or kicks, so this move may be about finding a guy with the ability to be on the practice squad after camp is over more than finding a guy for this year.
Good luck to Rashad Ross moving forward.
