Day six of Cards Camp 2018 is in the book and we have the highlights from it.
First off, who was back at practice?
Yet, more veterans had the day off today:
T Andre Smith, S Antoine Bethea and DT Corey Peters all without helmets and pads. Given that they are still stretching, would guess all three getting vet day off. #CardsCamp— Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) August 2, 2018
Without two starters on defense, the first time offense didn’t put it in the endzone in this sequence:
Cardinals WR J.J. Nelson makes a great grab deep down field on a long pass form rookie QB Josh Rosen.— Bob McManaman (@azbobbymac) August 2, 2018
Nothing to see here, move along.
On the play before, J.J. Nelson blew past defense. Josh Rosen underthrew him but it still went for 45 yards.— Kyle Odegard (@Kyle_Odegard) August 2, 2018
RB T.J. Logan just broke a 70-yard TD run in 11-on-11 work. Right up the middle against the second-team defense.— Kyle Odegard (@Kyle_Odegard) August 2, 2018
Yes, yes, yes. If T.J. Logan can stay healthy, the Cardinals have quite the plethora of talent in the backfield.
This is the most physical practice of #CardsCamp so far. Wilks message of defenders thumping ball carriers resonated, and the OL is showing well too. Pads most definitely popping.— Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) August 2, 2018
It’s been one of the biggest things we’ve seen Steve Wilks preach since he was hired. He wants this team to impose their will on other teams.
First Fitz tackle of #CardsCamp is Antoine Bethea. Sneaky.— Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) August 2, 2018
Head on a swivel.
How the best get better and stay on top.
Could be a big pairing for the Cardinals in 2018.
Scary moment: Bucannon’s left knee collides with the helmet of Brice Butler in red-zone work; Bucannon goes down but gets up and walks it off w/trainer Tom Reed by his side#CardsCamp— Craig Grialou (@CraigAZSports) August 3, 2018
Sounds like a problem avoided.
That's it for today.
See you all tomorrow.
