Cards Camp 2018: 3 notes from Arizona Cardinals training camp for Tuesday

A look at what transpired on Tuesday during the Arizona Cardinals training camp.

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals held a closed practice on the fields outside University of Phoenix Stadium on Tuesday morning.

They are quickly approaching their first game of the 2018 preseason and with that comes important daily information to help get us ready.

Here are three such notes from today's practice.

1. Robert Nkemdiche, Olsen Pierre and Chad Williams take a day off

The Diche and Pierre have been part of an incredibly brutal offensive versus defensive line camp. We’ve seen a number of days off for players from these groups and it was the young guns turn.

A bit more concerning was the presence of Williams, who, according to Steve Wilks said is dealing with some tendinitis in his knee.

2. Sam Bradford was back at practice, but may not play in preseason game one

The Arizona Cardinals are going to be smart about the work for Bradford this preseason. He is an experienced starter in the NFL with paper mache for a knee. There’s no reason to expose him much during the preseason, especially early.

However, Bradford knows the importance of getting some live action:

3. Don't expect much of David Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald in the preseason

The Cardinals know they need some work, but they also know that they are reliant on the offensive duo to carry a heavy burden in 2018. Along with Patrick Peterson, Deone Bucannon and Chandler Jones, the Cardinals know what they have in these players and don’t need to see much from them in August.

That’s it from Cards Camp today.
