As the names begin to trickle in on the Arizona Cardinals 2019 coaching staff, the Cardinals may have hit the biggest home run of the offseason.
According to Aditi Kinkhabwala, the Arizona Cardinals are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers running back coach James Saxon.
New #Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury snagged one of the best to tutor his running backs: former #Steelers RB coach James Saxon. He’ll be a boon to David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. (And yes, Kingsbury runs the ball: his team averaged 132 yards/game last year.)

Saxon has been one of the best position coaches in the NFL, helping the Steelers overcome the loss of Le'Veon Bell in numerous seasons, while also being a big part of Bell's career success.
He's been successful his entire career as well.
In 18 years as an NFL RB coach, James Saxon had an RB selected to the Pro Bowl...15 times. You’re getting a great coach and a wonderful man, Darren.

The success of Saxon's running backs is unquestioned, so he should be a huge get for David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, their present and future at the position.
Now, with the Cardinals having another talented position coach on the roster, onus will be on Kliff Kingsbury to make sure he utilizes their experience and is able to create an offense that brings the most out of these coaches and their ability.
So fae, you have to like the names the Cardinals are bringing together.
