Arizona Cardinals 2019 NFL Mock Draft round up: Experts starting to split on Nick Bosa vs Quinnen Williams

Looking at a plethora of mock drafts, the Arizona Cardinals look like it’ll be either Bosa or Williams.

With Championship weekend in the NFL upon us we are getting closer and closer to the real championship...

When the Arizona Cardinals open the 2019 NFL Draft.

While there is still plenty of time to fight and debate, there is now two names getting plenty of run.

Here’s a look at what they are saying.

SB Nation Dan Kadar:

1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

The Cardinals controversially hired Kliff Kingsbury, and people quickly proved themselves to be fools thinking he would trade Josh Rosen to take Murray with the first overall pick. That’s not going to happen. What should happen is taking Bosa with the first pick. New defensive coordinator Vance Joseph will know how to unlock Bosa’s potential as a pass rusher and build his defense around the Ohio State star.

Ryan Wilson CBS Sports:

1. Arizona Cardinals

Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State. On a team chock full of holes, edge rusher isn’t at the top of the to-do list. That said, it’s hard to pass on a talent like Bosa, who can take over games. There isn’t an offensive linemen worth taking this high and the Cardinals find themselves in full-on rebuild mode less than a year after hiring Steve Wilks and drafting Josh Rosen in the first round.

Ben Standig NBC Sports:

1. Arizona Cardinals: Quinnen Williams

School: Alabama

Position: Defensive tackle

The Cardinals’ top needs include receiver and offensive line, but they shouldn’t pass on the chance to grab one of the elite defensive line prospects. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Williams made a dramatic run-up draft rankings with a wildly productive redshirt-sophomore season (eight sacks, 18 tackles for loss).

Luke Easterling Draft Wire:

1. Arizona Cardinals

Quinnen Williams | DL | Alabama

Darryl Slater, NJ.com:

1. Cardinals: DE Nick Bosa, Ohio State

Yes, he called it quits early on his 2018 season, after core muscle surgery. But nobody is going to knock him off this perch as the best prospect in the 2019 draft.

Charlie Campbell, Walter Football:

1. Arizona Cardinals: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

Sources from multiple teams, including two general managers, were raving about Williams to me before the other media caught on to him. Williams was the breakout player for Alabama in 2018. Raekwon Davis and Isaiah Buggs received more preseason hype, but Williams was the most consistent play-maker and disruptor on the Crimson Tide’s defensive line. In 2018, Williams totaled 71 tackles with 19.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks and one pass batted. He also caused more disruption than the numbers indicate. Williams’ game against LSU was one of the most impressive performances I’ve ever seen from a college defense tackle, and he reminded me of Warren Sapp in that game, among others.

Vinny Iyer Sporting News:

1. Arizona Cardinals

Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

The Cardinals were a good pass-rushing team in 2018 with one-and-done coach Steve Wilks thanks to another monster season from Chandler Jones. Arizona could fill plenty of other positions but can’t go wrong bookending Jones with Bosa, who has more disruptive upside than older brother Joey.

Michelle Bruton Bleacher Report:

1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

While the majority are still on Bosa, more and more are coming onto the Quinnen Williams train.
