Arizona Cardinals continue to build Vance Joseph's defensive staff

New, comments

The Arizona Cardinals are giving Vance Joseph a staff that mimics what a head coach would ask for.

The Arizona Cardinals defensive coaching staff will mimic much of what new defensive coordinator Vance Joseph's Denver Broncos coaching staff looked like.

According to reports the Arizona Cardinals are bringing in defensive backs coach Greg Williams to be their CB coach.

That's what this defensive coaching staff is going to be, Vance Joseph's staff.

It's incredible to see a regime give a defensive coordinator so much control over his staff, but with Kliff Kingsbury controlling the offensive side of the ball and making the jump from college, it makes sense.

The Cardinals are taking as much off of Kingsbury's plate as possible in his first NFL season and trying to pass some responsibility around.

One thing they're doing with Vance Joseph is giving him an opportunity to build a defense and staff that he is comfortable with.

It's a smart way to build for a new coach, but it's also not something we've seen before.

We'll see how it works out.
