We know one thing for certain in 2019.
The Arizona Cardinals will not be traveling to England.
The NFL announced today their four game matchup overseas and the Cardinals had a chance with both the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting games to be making the trip.
They will not.
Today, the NFL announced that the UK games will be:
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders
Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Rams
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
For good measure the NFL game in Mexico was also announced and it will be the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Cardinals dodge another trip across the Atlantic, and while our friends like BritCard will not get the opportunity to see his favorite team, in person, in his home country, he’ll have some intriguing matchups to choose from.
It is interesting that the Raiders and Rams both host non-divisional and in fact non-conference opponents while Bucs and Jags lose home games against division rivals.
Wonder how the NFL and the competition committee will feel about that moving forward?
