The Jets seemed to have it right with Texas Tech All-American TE Jace Amaro when they drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
His rookie season, he led all rookie TEs in receptions (38) and yards (345). He caught 2 TDs.
The next season he suffered a torn labrum for which he had surgery. He was cut at the end of training camp by the Jets.
He subsequently landed on his feet with the Titans and in his one real taste of action he caught 3 passes for 59 yards versus the Raiders, But he was behind Delanie Walker and Anthony Fasano on the Titans’ depth chart and was released.
Last year he was released by the Chiefs on the last day of cuts.
