The National Championship for the College Football Playoffs is here.
For the Arizona Cardinals and their fans, it is a chance to get a look at a number of the top prospects, while also trying to decide if anyone of them can dethrone Nick Bosa as the top player for the 2019 NFL Draft.
We know the cast of characters who are going early for each team:
Quinnen Williams - Ala, DT
Jonah Williams - Ala, OT
Christian Wilkins - Clem, DT
Clelin Ferrell - Clem, DE
Now the question becomes what about players on day two?
Who could be the impact day two player the Cardinals could find from this championship fight?
Here are four to know.
Trevon Diggs, CB Alabama - The young Bama corner has been a playmaker in the Tide’s secondary. He has six pass break ups and an interception on the season. He has good size and 6-0 and 185lbs, and could be a nice day two pickup at a continual position of need for the Cardinals.
Trayvon Mullen, CB Clemson - Corners are on the menu tonight. Mullen was considered to be one of the top players at the position coming into the season, but the 6-1 Mullen hasn’t seen much in the way of opportunity this season. Against a powerful Bama offense, he could shine tonight.
Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama - While Devin White gets the pub, Wilson continues to rack up a body count each Saturday. He has the ability to stay on the field for three downs and could be a perfect interior foil to the Nick Bosa edge.
Raekwon Davis, DT, Alabama - The “other” down lineman at Bama, Davis is a 6-7 306lbs monster of a man. He can one gap or two gap and has the ability to lock down the defensive interior. Imagine Davis and Bosa added to the Cardinals defensive line.
