We expected this if he made it through the waiver process and much like Miles Brown, the Arizona Cardinals were able to keep a young, undrafted free agent they were high on coming out of camp in Chris Jones.
Jones made it through waivers and the Cardinals have brought him back to the team on the practice squad.
From the team:
”Jones (6-0, 200) played in all five games (one start) for the Cardinals this season and had seven tackles. He appeared in one game with Arizona last season after spending the majority of his rookie season on the Cardinals practice squad. Jones entered the league with Detroit in 2018 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nebraska.”
Jones coming back to the practice squad means that the team has released Andre Chachere, who had been on the practice squad.
Jones is someone the team has been high on, but it’s clear he wasn’t ready to go in the capacity the Cardinals needed him, which was as the third cornerback.
Welcome back to the team, Chris.
