The Cardinals are having themselves a day going scoring on all of their four drives, coming away with two overdue red zone TD’s to go into the half with a 20-10 lead.
Kyler Murray started off early, attacking the Falcons defense deep, converting a 3rd and 10 with a throw and beautiful catch by Trent Sherfield for 38 yards down the sideline, scrambling for a 18 yarder to Larry Fitz and a huge 58 yard bomb to Damiere Byrd.
The running backs also pick up where they left off last week, each netting a score and both coming up big in the passing game.
After a shaky start where Atlanta had a 10 play drive that ended in a touchdown, the defense has performed admirably, holding the Falcons to 10 points in the first half. Byron Murphy has especially stood out, bruising in the run game and tasked with the tall order of covering All-Pro Julio Jones.
Let’s hope the redbirds can keep it up and net their second win in a row before they embark on the next five weeks with only one game at home.
