Arizona Cardinals dealing with a number of injuries on the offensive side of the ball

Two wins in a row, a chance to make it three in a winnable road game and then the Wednesday injury report reminds us how fragile success can be in the NFL.

While there is no need to panic at this point, the first injury report of the week is a bit concerning for the Arizona Cardinals, especially as the New York Giants seem to be getting healthy at the right time.

David Jonson is the obvious big name, but the addition of Maxx Williams to the injury report, both dealing with ankle issues, is a bit concerning.

While Christian Kirk tries to continue to come back from his own ankle injury, the Cardinals could effectively be down their top offensive weapon in DJ, an emerging Williams and potentially Kirk as well could put a damper on things.

The defense is obviously an issue without injuries, so Zach Allen still being out and Zach Kerr joining him hurts, but it’s not like they were going to be stopping the Giants.

Speaking of which, that is going to be a big focus this week, the Giants got a fully healthy Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram back this week, with Sterling Shephard making progress.

We’ll know more as the week goes on, but the initial injury report definitely is favoring the Giants early.
