What does a finally great performance look like when you break down the snap counts?

Let’s take a look at the Arizona Cardinals defensive snap count against the New York Giants.

Defensive Line

Corey Peters - 51 (72%)
Rodney Gunter - 39 (55%)
Jonathan Bullard - 33 (46%)
Zach Kerr - 13 (18%)
Clinton McDonald - 6 (8%)

I think we can all agree this was the best day at the office for this group. Peters is the clear leader, but Bullard has come into his own as a strong option up front.

Edge

Chandler Jones - 63 (89%)
Terrell Suggs - 50 (70%)
Cassius Marsh - 25 (35%)
Brooks Reed - 7 (10%)

I would say this was also this groups best work.

Linebacker

Jordan Hicks - 71 (100%)
Haason Reddick - 64 (90%)
Joe Walker - 7 (10%)

Reddick had some sort of injury that allowed Walker to see the field. Walker wasn’t good either.

Cornerbacks

Byron Murphy - 71 (100%)
Patrick Peterson - 71 (100%)
Tramaine Brock - 64 (90%)

Murphy and Peterson moving forward, will be interesting to see what happens if/when Alford returns.

Safeties

Budda Baker - 71 (100%)
Deionte Thompson - 64 (90%)
Jalen Thompson - 7 (10%)

I’d love to see Budda get more run at strong and give Deionte the work at free, but who am I?

Special Teams

Chris Banjo - 21 (72%)
Dennis Gardeck - 19 (66%)
Zane Gonzalez - 12 (41%)
Kevin Peterson - 12 (41%)
Aaron Brewer - 11 (38%)
Andy Lee - 11 (38%)
Charles Washington - 10 (34%)
Trevor Williams - 6 (21%)
Josh Miles - 6 (21%)
Mason Cole - 6 (21%)
