The hits were heavy on Sunday and they will linger for at least one week.

That is the NFL with Thursday Night Football.

The Arizona Cardinals were back at it on Monday, a quick turnaround after a physical game against the New Orleans Saints and now an even tougher test against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the San Francisco 49ers.

It is a lot to ask a fully healthy 2019 Arizona Cardinals team, but the Cardinals have a litany of injuries as they head into their one prime time game of the 2019 season.

The Cardinals injury list is growing and we know their top two running backs in David Johnson and Chase Edmonds are out. Likely joining them will be Zach Allen, who continues to deal with a neck issue and Cassius Marsh, who is in the concussion protocol.

Now, the problem becomes you have Haason Reddick, Justin Murray and Trent Sherfield all to worry about as well.

The Cardinals need all the healthy bodies they can find against one of the top defensive teams in the NFL.

Not to mention, a division opponent in a national game.

Let’s hope for a better report on Tuesday.
