Arizona Cardinals defensive and special teams snap counts from the win over the Bengals

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

With a win in the books, we can finally exhale a little bit.

However, the defense found a way to make us continue to wonder where this team can go in 2019.

Let’s take a look at the defensive snap counts from Sunday’s win over the Bengals for the Arizona Cardinals.

Defensive Line

Corey Peters - 47 (71%)
Rodney Gunter - 40 (61%)
Jonathan Bullard - 35 (53%)
Zach Kerr - 14 (21%)
Clinton McDonald - 12 (18%)
Michael Dogbe - 3 (5%)

This group is beginning to round into form. They are not dynamic by any means, but they allow the linebackers to get some free runs. With the potential of Zach Allen back this week, I think this is a group that can compete.

Edge

Chandler Jones - 61 (92%)
Terrell Suggs - 50 (76%)
Cassius Marsh - 12 (20%)
Brooks Reed - 12 (18%)

Did not see a whole lot out of this group this week. From a name standpoint, it should be the best group on defense.

Linebacker

Jordan Hicks - 66 (100%)
Haason Reddick - 66 (100%)

Cornerbacks

Byron Murphy - 66 (100%)
Kevin Peterson - 47 (71%)
Tramaine Brock - 41 (62%)

It is actually kind of interesting how much the team missed Brock when he left.

Safeties

Budda Baker - 66 (100%)
Jalen Thompson - 44 (67%)
Deionte Thompson - 43 (65%)

A solid, if unspectacular week was maligned by Budda’s TD to Boyd and a bad penalty on Deionte. Big test this week.

Special Teams

Darrell Daniels - 24 (83%)
Joe Walker - 22 (76%)
Chris Banjo - 22 (76%)
Chris Jones - 19 (66%)
D.J. Foster - 16 (55%)
Zane Gonzalez - 12 (41%)
Aaron Brewer - 10 (34%)
Mason Cole - 7 (24%)
Andy Lee - 7 (24%)
Joshua Miles - 3 (10%)
Ryan Winslow - 3 (10%)
