Week 12 College Football who to watch and open thread

NCAA Football: Illinois at Iowa Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

We enter the 12th week of the 2019 college football season and the names to know are getting more and more clear.

It starts early with a number of names to watch and know heading into great showdown in the Big 12.

Let’s take a look.

#5 Alabama at Mississippi State, 10am, ESPN

The Tide just lost their first game at home in forever, but their stars were very good in the game.

I am most intrigued by Henry Ruggs and Devonta Smith, the “other” receivers on Bama’s roster. I think both would fit well in the Cardinals offense and may be the day two pick type.

Obviously the names in round one for Bama could include Jerry Jeudy and Tua, but what about Alex Leatherwood, the offensive tackle? Raekwon David the defensive tackle or Anfernee Jennings the outside linebacker?

The Bama game and team is loaded.

However, this is a great opportunity to see interior offensive lineman Darryl Williams from Miss State.

#4 Georgia at #12 Auburn, 1:30pm, CBS

Auburn has Derrick Brown on their interior defense who could be a top ten pick, while Prince Tega Wanogho could be a day two offensive lineman to know.

Meanwhile, Georgia has Andrew Thomas, the likely first offensive lineman off the board, but Solomon Kindley could be a day two name to know.

Also, could the Cardinals be looking at another running back on day two? D’Andre Swift could be one that would make them think about it.

#8 Minnesota at #20 Iowa, 2pm, Fox

This game has a great wide receiver prospect in Tyler Johnson for Minnesota. They also have a day two safety I really like in Antoine Winfield Jr.

Iowa has some big dudes up front that we should love to know.

Alaric Jackson and Tristan Wirfs are massive offensive tackles for the Hawkeyes and both look like first round locks. What about A.J. Epenesa on the other side? Great game for prospects.

#10 Oklahoma at #13 Baylor, 5:30pm, ABC

A massive offensive display is about to take off and the Cardinals could find their top wide receiver in CeeDee Lamb from Oklahoma.

Yet, on defense the Sooners have a linebacker that has flashed in Kenneth Murray, so don’t look away from the screen.

Enjoy the day one and all.
