Arizona Cardinals negotiating contract extensions with two offensive linemen per report

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals are getting things going for 2020 and beyond.

It started today with the Arizona Cardinals re-signing Maxx Williams to a two-year contract extension. Keeping him in the fold for the next two seasons.

Now, Bob McManaman if the Arizona Republic is reporting that contract negotiations are ongoing with more Cardinals as well.

We’ve talked about the fact that the Cardinals would try and retain this offensive line for the next year and maybe beyond. The Cardinals have been happy with the play of A.Q. Shipley and D.J. Humphries and see the potential continuity important in the growth and development of the team.

It is why when we talk about needs for the Arizona Cardinals, we see the idea of the offensive line not being a huge need to the Cardinals. They like what they have seen from the line and want to see what it can do after a full year in the system.

We think the growth has been good and maybe going forward with the starting five we have seen the last two weeks is the best idea for the future.

We’ll see if they get anything done.
