A game that the Arizona Cardinals needed in the worst way, they lost in the most likely way.
The Arizona Cardinals offense was effective today, getting three touchdowns on four redzone trips.
They also got two Zane Gonzalez field goals that gave them the chance to win the game.
Kyler Murray was extremely efficient, completing 24 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
He also ran for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Kenyan Drake was good as well, with 80 total yards of offense.
It was tough sledding for the offense today and quite frankly, with the numbers, it is amazing the Arizona Cardinals had a chance to win.
Yet, Vance Joseph has no idea what he is doing. Literally none.
The Cardinals had bent to field goal range on what could have been the final drive and it was obvious the 49ers were just trying to tie the game.
Joseph, in his infinite wisdom decides to go zero blitz, no coverage in the middle of the field and cover the running back with Chandler Jones.
Jones was nowhere near up to the task and it was an easy throw and catch.
This game falls at the feet of an incompetent defensive coordinator.
The Arizona Cardinals take a four-game losing streak into the bye and now another win seems hard to find.
This team is hamstrung by bad talent on defense, but the scheme is indefensible at this point.
