Two wide receiver prospects to watch in college football today

It is early and the Arizona Cardinals are still technically in the playoff hunt.

We also are incredibly realistic around here.

While things are undoubtedly on an upward swing for the Cardinals, it is still looking like the team will hold a top 15 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

I had begun the early breakdowns of some potential targets for the Arizona Cardinals and it is lining up early like the Cardinals can address and marriage the needs of the team with the talent likely to be available in the 2020 NFL Draft first three rounds.

This weekend, here are three two wide receiver prospects for the Arizona Cardinals that are playing today (please note that players like CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs are on a bye this week).

Colorado at UCLA - 6:00pm AZ - Time Pac12 Network

Laviska Shenault Jr, WR, Colorado - The physical wideout from Colorado takes on a bad UCLA Bruins team. Shenault put up over 1,000 yards receiving in 2018 and is on pace for the same again this year. The best part, Shenault is just learning how to play WR, moving to the position as a freshman. He plays with a physicality and run after the catch in a way that will remind Cards fans of Anquan Boldin, but Shenault is alleged to also be a 4.4 athlete.

TCU at Oklahoma State - 12:30pm AZ Time - ESPN

Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU - A special athlete, a zero to sixty guy who can win by taking the top off the defense. Reagor has slipped a bit this year in terms of production, but he is a shifty, dynamic player. TCU takes on Oklahoma State today, and while Tylan Wallace was the kid I was most excited to see, Reagor should still be worth tuning in for.

There were three prospects before the announcement of Tylan Wallace’s injury, which sucks, but may be one of those blessings in disguise for a team like the Cardinals if they could get him later than expected.
