In a flurry of Friday news dump style moves, the Arizona Cardinals have made a slightly significant move of placing veteran Brooks Reed on injured reserve.

After releasing Zach Brown and placing Clint McDonald on injured reserve, we knew there was one open roster spot.

Now, that spot along with Reed’s is filled.

The team has elevated cornerback Chris Jones back to the active roster from the practice squad, along with fellow practice squad player and preseason standout Pete Robertson.

From the team:

Jones (6-0, 200) played in the first five games (one start) of the season for the Cardinals and had seven tackles. He has been on Arizona’s practice squad since October 11. Jones appeared in one game with Arizona in 2018 after spending the majority of his rookie season on the Cardinals practice squad. He entered the league with Detroit last year as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nebraska.

Robertson (6-2, 243) has spent the entire season on the Cardinals practice squad after being released in Arizona’s final roster cut on August 31. He originally entered the league with Seattle as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016 out of Texas Tech and played in four games with the Redskins in 2017. The 26-year old Robertson joined the Cardinals practice squad in 2018.

Jones will wear jersey #25 and Robertson will wear jersey #45.

Welcome back to the team Jones and Robertson.
