With three weeks to go, the Arizona Cardinals could have top five picks two years in a row.
It is quite the accomplishment when you consider not many GM’s get to pick first and then pick in the top five again.
However, that is another discussion for another day.
Today it is all about the 2020 NFL Draft and the Arizona Cardinals are on their way up.
Here is the current 2020 NFL Draft order.
- Cincinnati Bengals (1-12)
- New York Giants (2-11)
- Washington Redskins (3-10)
- Miami Dolphins (3-10)
- Detroit Lions (3-9-1)
- Arizona Cardinals (3-9-1)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (4-9)
- Atlanta Falcons (4-9)
- New York Jets (5-8)
- Los Angeles Chargers (5-8)
- Denver Broncos (5-8)
- Carolina Panthers (5-8)
- Philadelphia Eagles (6-7)
- Oakland Raiders (6-7)
- Indianapolis Colts (6-7)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7)
- Cleveland Browns (6-7)
- Oakland Raiders via Chicago Bears (7-6)
- Tennessee Titans (8-5)
- Jacksonville Jaguars via LA Rams (8-5)
The Cardinals with the sixth pick would be picking in the top 20 (meaning they missed the playoffs) for the fifth time in the Steve Keim era (20 in 2014 before trade down). They picked top 20 in eight out of 10 Rod Graves years.
However, it would only be the second time Keim picks in the top 10, while Graves was in the top 10 in five of ten years as GM.
What I am saying is, the Cardinals tend to have a long leash with their GM’s.
