The Arizona Cardinals won.
Had they lost, nothing would have changed.
They won and nothing changed.
That is what you call a perfect win. Nothing changes either way, so now you get to win and you don’t have to worry about moving up or down.
Let’s take a look at what the 2020 NFL Draft order would look like as of now.
- Cincinnati Bengals (1-13)
- New York Giants (3-11)
- Miami Dolphins (3-11)
- Washington Redskins (3-11)
- Detroit Lions (3-10-1)
- Arizona Cardinals (4-9-1)
- New York Jets (5-9)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (5-9)
- Los Angeles Chargers (5-9)
- Denver Broncos (5-9)
- Carolina Panthers (5-9)
- Atlanta Falcons (5-9)
- Oakland Raiders (6-8)
- Indianapolis Colts (6-8)
- Cleveland Browns (6-8)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7)
- Philadelphia Eagles (7-7)
- Oakland Raiders via Chicago Bears (7-7)
- Tennessee Titans (8-6)
- Jacksonville Jaguars via LA Rams (8-6)
The Cardinals are basically locked into the sixth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, barring winning one of their last two games.
I don’t see any team winning their final two games in front of the Cardinals.
The Giants take on the Redskins this week and the Eagles in the season finale. The Skins get the Giants and then come back and have to travel to Dallas for their finale against a Cowboys team that will be desperate to win.
The Dolphins take on the Bengals, so that is a toss up, but they have to take on a Patriots team who could be playing for something, depending on how this week goes.
Finally, the Lions suck. I mean, suck.
I don’t see the Cardinals winning a game, but if they were to, they could fall down to the 12 spot, but again, I don’t see it.
So, the sixth pick? We’ll take it.
