One of the most prolific rushing performances in Arizona Cardinals history has been rewarded.
The NFL announced today that Kenyan Drake was named the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
This is what that means from the league:
The votes are in and fans have selected the top FedEx Air and Ground performers of the week. FedEx is proud to recognize quarterbacks and running backs who stand out on the field and deliver for their team.
By winning the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award, these players are also supporting military service members and their families. A $2,000 donation will be made to the USO in the names of each winner through FedEx Cares. During the 2019-2020 NFL season, FedEx Cares will donate a total of $200,000 to the USO Pathfinder program, which provides resources and personalized services to assist service members and military spouses in their transition back to civilian life.
The Cardinals running back had 22 carries for 137 yards (6.2 yards per carry) for four touchdowns, tying a franchise record.
Congratulations to Drake.
