Week 17 Player of the Game

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Do the Cardinals have their TEOTF (tight end of the future)?

It’s probably a little soon for superlatives, but Dan Arnold put together a game that’ll have fans carrying over some optimism into next season.

Arnold lead the team in receiving with 76 yards on 4 receptions, and hauled in this touchdown deep down the middle (something incredibly interesting is Arnold has two touchdowns this season which makes him only the 19th tight end since the move to Arizona to have two or more touchdowns in a season).

In fact, if my numbers are correct, Cardinals fans haven’t seen a bigger day from a tight end (yardage wise) since Rob Housler dropped 78 on the Niners in week 13 of 2013.

Arnold has been a sight for sore eyes with regards to a team badly in need of red zone weapons. Let’s hope this is something that can be built off of next season.
