The Arizona Cardinals were awarded a waiver claim on… a tight end?
The Cardinals claimed Dan Arnold off of waivers on Thursday.
From the team:
”Arnold (6-6, 220) played in 12 games (one start) with the Saints the past two seasons (2018-19) and had 14 receptions for 175 yards and one touchdown. He began the season on the Saints practice squad and had two receptions for 25 yards in two games after being elevated to the active roster. The 24-year old Arnold originally joined the Saints as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017 out of Wisconsin-Platteville where he played wide receiver. Arnold spent his rookie season on injured reserve before playing in 10 games last season. While at Wisconsin-Platteville, Arnold had 65 receptions for 1,176 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior in 2016.”
In order to make a spot for Arnold the team has placed defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard on injured reserve.
Bullard has been one of the nice surprises on a defense that has not had many this season.
Welcome aboard, Arnold.
