With the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL getting ready for the 2019 NFL Combine, the final guesses before all the rumors start flying. That would mean getting in one last mock draft before next week’s Combine.
SB Nation’s Dan Kadar did just that yesterday, and things have not changed:
" 1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State"
"Offseason needs: Offensive line, interior defensive line, wide receiver, tight end"
"The Cardinals have plenty of work to do under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. So much so, it’s probably easier to point out what Arizona doesn’t need to fix this offseason. In an ideal situation, the Cardinals could trade down and try to fix both lines. But the value of the first pick is lesser this year since teams might not jump to No. 1 for a quarterback. Because of that, holding there and taking Bosa makes the most sense. But after that, the Cardinals need to fix one of the NFL’s worst rosters — starting with protecting franchise quarterback Josh Rosen."
It’s a tough season to have the top pick when there’s not a quarterback that will demand a trade up from a QB desperate team and the consensus best player is coming off an injury.
However, the ability to pair Nick Bosa and Chandler Jones, much like the Broncos paired Von Miller with Bradley Chubb. That will definitely be something to watch in 2019.
