As the Miami Dolphins decide what to do with Ja'Wuan James, should the Arizona Cardinals make a play for the right tackle?

The Arizona Cardinals are in the market to upgrade their offensive line and maybe the crown jewel of the class, saying something about the class as a whole, is Ja’Wuan James.

James was allegedly on the Arizona Cardinals wish list back in the 2014 NFL Draft and was taken one pick before the Cardinals 20th pick (where they ended up trading back for Deone Bucannon).

Now, James is on the market again and may actually make it to free agency after being franchised last season.

It came out in a Miami Herald interview that the Dolphins are balking at the potential $9 million plus price tag that James may carry, despite the pleas of their offensive line coach Pat Flaherty to keep James on.

If the Cardinals are willing to pony up, maybe in the range of 5 years and $50 million, the Cardinals could shore up the right tackle position with a player that is only 27 years old.

However, James only has started 16 games two times in his career and while Keim can’t be scared off by these things, it’s always a concern.

James is a very good tackle in the NFL, ranking 33rd among all tackles per Pro Football Focus and was their 14th best run blocker among 80 that qualified.

That’s going to be the question for the Cardinals though. Do they set the market at right tackle, making James one of the highest paid right tackles in the NFL, or do they look elsewhere?

What would you do?
