The chaos... It is here.
The names we’ve heard projecting and predicting Kyler Murray at the top of the draft are beginning to change and quite impressively.
In an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Kiper had this to say:
“I’m going to probably put him No. 1,” Kiper said on ESPN. “I think the Arizona Cardinals have kind of a dilemma. Do they feel that Kyler Murray is a significant upgrade over Josh Rosen? Then you have to trade Josh Rosen, and do you have an interested party there in maybe the Washington Redskins or the Miami Dolphins. Somebody like that, you get that first-round pick from a team for Rosen.”
I think Kyler Murray fits Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. Josh Rosen, in my opinion, does not. I think if you’re in a division with Goff, Wilson and now Garoppolo off the injury, they feel that Kyler Murray – now that he’s in the range you need to be, close to Russell Wilson height-wise – I think he’s in line maybe to be the No. 1 pick overall now.”
This is the part of the season where things begin to get crazy, but the fact that Murray to Arizona is beginnig to dominate the conversation, over every other scenario, and now it is becoming mainstream, well you can decide for yourself.
The names may not matter, I try and stress that in mock drafts, but when you pick number one and you have the ability to dictate who the pick is, well that changes.
Maybe the Murray buzz is just smoke.
If not, this will be one of the strangest offseasons in NFL history, not just Arizona Cardinals history.
As I’ve said... Embrace the Chaos.
