Arizona Cardinals to sign J.R. Sweezy to two-year deal per reports

Seattle Seahawks v Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals need to address the offensive line this offseason... They have started to do so.

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Arizona Cardinals have agreed on a two-year deal with free agent guard J.R. Sweezy.

Sweezy has been a cog in a bad Seattle offensive line before signing a big free agent deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He lasted one season in Tampa before being cut and heading back back to the Seahawks.

He was bad last season in Seattle, grading as the 71st best offensive guard in the NFL, but he has some positives.

He is an average to below pass blocker, but only allowed 3.5 sacks last season. Where Sweezy stood out last season was in the run game.

Sweezy and fellow veteran D.J. Fluker were road graders in the Seahawks power run game and it allowed the Seahawks to run the ball effectively.

Where the Cardinals play Sweezy will be interesting, as he has played mostly right guard in his career, but was really effective at left guard last year in Seattle.

Either way, the Cardinals have now added two offensive linemen to the worst unit in the NFL.

How would you grade the Sweezy signing?
