It is almost time for free agency tampering. While we are still engulfed with the idea of Kyler Murray and will they or won’t they, we’ve also taken a look at free agency.
Walter went through the entire roster, we’ll put that into a free agency group this weekend, but he also looked at some specific positions.
The linebackers are assuredly one of the worst positional groups with the Arizona Cardinals if you take Chandler Jones out of the mix. Cause after Jones the only players still on the roster who has any starting experience are Haason Reddick and newly signed Brooks Reed.
Well, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports thinks the Arizona Cardinals could dip into the Baltimore Ravens free agent pool and address both the off ball and outside linebacker position:
“Some of C.J. Mosley’s Ravens teammates believe both he and Suggs could be headed to the Cardinals …”
This would be costly, likely around $20-25 million for the two players, but would immediately address two of the bigger needs for the Cardinals.
It would also clear the way for the Cardinals to take anyone at the top of the draft, as Suggs is not going to be a 100% snap player, so getting a Nick Bosa would be ideal. While pairing Quinnen Williams with the former Ravens would give the Cardinals three new starters, all who excel against the run.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Cardinals pursue this angle, dropping big money on two linebackers, but it would immediately make this team better.
