Over the next 48 days we will see an abundance of 2019 NFL Mock Drafts.

Some are based on what people are hearing, so they try and put together a what they think will happen type of mock draft.

Others take a different route.

When they do, they typically let you know that is where they are going with this entire thing... That is what Steve Palazzolo of Pro Football Focus did this week in his newest 2019 NFL Mock Draft:

Mock Draft 4 features a change at the top of the draft, as the Arizona Cardinals should be seriously considering Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray for the No. 1 overall pick, and that’s what I would do if given the reins. As always, my mock draft is a snapshot of what I would do as GM of every team, not a prediction of what will happen, so it may not look like any other cookie-cutter mock draft littered with the same names and draft positions.

So, he has the Arizona Cardinals taking the PFF top ranked quarterback heading into the 2019 NFL Draft:

After much debate, I believe this to be the right move for the Cardinals. The highest-graded passing and running quarterback in the nation last season, Murray has the accuracy and athleticism to move the ball at the next level, and that’s enough for Arizona to make the move and build around his skillset.

Steve and the gang over at PFF hashed out all sides of this debate and came to the conclusion that Murray makes the most sense.

I don’t know if I agree, but this is from a different place than Cardinals fans are making their choice. This is a mostly impartial group that thinks the best recourse for the Cardinals moving forward would be to draft the quarterback they deem the best in the 2019 NFL Draft.

If you remember, they were the first to really push Baker Mayfield to the Browns last year, so they have a history of being bold with their takes.

We’ll see what happens, but it is interesting to see someone say if they were running the Cardinals, this is what they would do with the first pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
