Arizona Cardinals keep Josh Rosen busy during media availability... As they should

The Arizona Cardinals are in the first portion of offseason workouts, which also means they were at the first portion of being available to the media.

Knowing the media and what drives it, the first questions to all of the team were about Josh Rosen.

That’s because of the Arizona Cardinals work on Kyler Murray heading into the 2019 NFL Draft and the speculation that Murray is the player the Arizona Cardinals and new head coach Kliff Kingsbury covet.

Yet, Josh Rosen wasn’t around for the media and quite frankly, it makes sense.

The Cardinals are in every sense of the word, flirting with Kyler Murray. Yet, they are still in a relationship with Josh Rosen.

Rosen knows where the Arizona Cardinals stand with him. The Cardinals have explicitly gone out of their way this entire offseason to make sure everyone is aware of how much they like and what they think about Rosen.

Yet, nothing good can come from Rosen and the media dancing.

If Rosen slips up in any way, it is all over the news, whether it is about the Cardinals letting him know this is all a smokescreen, or letting him know that they are quietly shopping him.

Keeping Rosen behind the scenes and letting him work is all that matters at this point. We can ask all the questions we have once there is an actual outcome to this whole thing, but until then, let the speculation rule the day.
