The Arizona Cardinals have been busy this offseason adding bodies to the offensive line. Whether or not that pays off, we shall see, but you can’t say they haven’t been active.

Yesterday, the team announced that they are bringing a familiar face back, as they have signed Brant Weiss to a one-year contract.

From the team:

Weiss (6-6, 297) returns to the Cardinals after spending last offseason with the team prior to being released following the preseason. He comes to the Cardinals after playing with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Weiss originally joined the Cardinals in 2018 as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Toledo. He played in 36 games during his career at Toledo and was a first-team All-MAC selection as a senior in 2017 after starting all 14 games at right tackle.

Weiss had a nice showing in the AAF, catching the eyes of a lot of teams. Coming back to Arizona makes some sense, even with a new coaching staff, as Steve Keim was the one that recruited him after college.

Good luck to Weiss in trying to make the team again.
