With the 2019 NFL Draft 20 days the mock drafts will continue in earnest while we wait for more on the Arizona Cardinals and Josh Rosen.
This one is from our friends over at Pro Football Focus, who teamed up lead analysts Steve Palazzolo and Mike Renner to create their own dueling mock draft, alternating picks and going for three rounds.
That’s right, three rounds of mock draft goodness for the Arizona Cardinals.
Let’s look at their picks.
1. Arizona Cardinals (Steve Palazzolo) – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
“We’re the GMs, we’re doing this as what we would do … The upgrade is strong enough there.”
If PFF is involved this will always be the pick, he is their highest ranked prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft, they believe Murray solves a number of issues the Cardinals have and they team up the best player in the draft with an innovative coach who will get the most out of his skills.
33. Arizona Cardinals (SP) – Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
Steve and Mike discussed the pick here, starting at the 1:25 mark.
65. Arizona Cardinals (SP) – Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington
They discuss the reasoning behind the pick at the 36:55 mark in the video.
Looking at the first three picks, it is obvious that they are on board with what most fans think, that the Cardinals have invested heavily on the defense in the offseason, so it is Kliff Kingsbury’s offense that gets the brunt of the picks early in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Murray
Brown
McGary
That’s a nice haul for the Cardinals.
