With one decision the Arizona Cardinals changed course and their future.
They changed how much time their old GM, their new HC and of course their new quarterback have to get things right.
While the way they went about it may have rubbed some wrong, the reality is that they did something that makes sense, they put everyone on the same clock.
While there is so much more to it than that, Kliff Kingsbury wanted Kyler Murray, now the GM, the coach and the quarterback are all tied together.
In the worst case scenario world, those three have a 2-3 year window to start moving forward, getting it right and turning this franchise back into a winning one.
With Josh Rosen in tow, it was potentially a year to year proposition. There’s the excuse if year one is a disaster that Kingsbury didn’t have his guy.
There are no excuses now, there are no second chances.
Steve Keim, Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray are linked together. Their future and their chance are all tied together.
Now, let’s see what they do with it.
