Ranking all 32 starting RBs

After the 2016-2017 season, David Johnson was considered to be a top 3 RB but after two years, you could slot him out of the top 10. Where would he rank today if I ranked all the starting running backs? This is based on all around ability.

32. Peyton Barber

He is just not talented enough to be a starting calibre running back. Ronald Jones could be good with a change of scenery.

31. Damien Williams

He is a new bee. Not a good power runner. Showed some flashes in the playoffs

30. LeSean McCoy

Shady is old and is not a good pass catcher. He will likely be a power back next year.

29. Kenyan Drake

He is way to inconsistent but gets yardage off huge plays

28. Marlon Mack

Was good in the playoffs but he is not a good receiver or power runner

27. Leonard Fournette

He has dropped of largely due to off field issues. One of the better power backs.

26. Lamar Miller

He is not a good receiver and will share time with D'Onta Foreman

25. Jordan Howard

He is not a good receiver but is a good power back. His play has dropped off.

24. Tarik Cohen

He is just not a power runner and does not have the strength of an inside runner

23. Aaron Jones

He has just been too limited for us to see what he is about

22. Chris Carson

Power back with minimal receiving skill

21. Derrius Guice

Power back with minimal receiving skill

20. Josh Jacobs

He can be good but we did not see explosive plays from him in college

19. Tevin Coleman

Will share time with 2 other great backs. Not a great power runner

18. Kerryon Johnson

Power back with minimal receiving skill

17. Mark Ingram

Power back with minimal receiving skill

16. Dalvin Cook

Injures have cost him but he is one of the budding all around stars in the league. He is almost a David Johnson 2.0

15. Derrick Henry

Power back with minimal receiving skill

14. Sony Michel

He has potential but the Patriots are using him as the downhill runner as he is an all around back

13. Phillip Lindsay

He is a budding start but has a low ceiling in my opinion

12. Joe Mixon

He should be very good with a better OL now. Expect an explosion from an all around back

11. James Conner

He is a power back but also has elusiveness and catching ability

10. Nick Chubb

He is a power back but also has elusiveness and catching ability

9. Christian McCaffrey

He is building up a strength and he could get DJ's wanted 1000-1000 mark before DJ himself

8. Devonta Freeman

He is the forgotten man. He is one of the leagues best

7. Alvin Kamara

He can power run nut his receiving skills are just uncanny

6. David Johnson

I think that he is the 3rd best all around back in the league and will be utilized by KK

5. Melvin Gordon

He is a good power, elusive, and receiving back but injuries are a problem

4. Ezekiel Elliott

He is a good power, elusive, and receiving back but attitude is a problem. He has the 3rd highest ceiling of this group

3. Leveon Bell

He has had a year off and his fresh legs should produce a historic season

2. Todd Gurley

He has had injury problems but is arguably the best all around back when healthy

1. Saquon Barkley

He has the highest ceiling of any running back in the last 15 years and should have a resume worthy of Canton in 3 years. He is Barry Sanders 2.0
