The Arizona Cardinals offseason continues to be about finding value wherever they can. Yesterday, the agreed to a contract with former Baltimore Ravens tight end Maxx Williams, a former second round pick, who was acquired in a draft day deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
Now, the Cardinals bring him into the fold to see if they can get something out of the often injured big man from.
Thank you @Ravens organization for giving me a chance. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the opportunity. On to my next chapter and can’t wait to start. Go @AZCardinals

Over the course of his career, it has not been much.
Maxx Williams stats [Pro Football Reference]
- 2015: 14 games | 7 starts | 32 receptions | 268 yards | 1 TD
- 2017: 11 games | 8 starts | 15 receptions | 86 yatrds | 1 TD
- 2018: 13 games | 6 starts | 16 receptions | 143 yards | 1 TD
Yet, he is a good blocker and has good hands, and when healthy is quite the athletic specimen on the field.
It is the unfortunate caveat that we must add that gives you the pause to get excited at all about this addition. Of course, taking a wait and see approach seems to define the entire Arizona Cardinals offseason.
Welcome aboard, Maxx.
