The Arizona Cardinals are bringing in free agent Andre Branch for a visit and a workout, according to Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic.

Branch was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 38th overall pick in the 2012 draft. In his seven years in the NFL, he has made 188 tackles, 25.5 sacks, 14 passes defensed, and eight forced fumbles.
Though Branch has played primarily as a defensive end in a 4-3 defensive scheme, he would switch to outside linebacker in the Cardinals 3-4 system.
He turns 30 in July but seems to have some gas left in the tank with his 11.5 sacks he has recorded the last three seasons with the Dolphins.
The Cardinals have Chandler Jones and Terrell Suggs pegged in as the starters at outside linebacker. As depth, they already have Brooks Reed, Vontarrius Dora, Cameron Malveaux, and Pita Taumoepenu .
Depth looks fine at the Cardinals’ outside linebacker position but adding Branch would make the backup position battles that much more intriguing.
Let’s see what happens.
