One of the most iconic figures in the Baltimore Ravens history will be taking the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD for the first time in another teams colors.

Terrell Suggs has spent 17 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and the Ravens wanted him back. However, he decided that after the Cardinals made the mistake of passing on him in the 2003 NFL Draft, that he could finally come home and finish off what is likely a Hall of Fame career.

So no, this is not going to be about revenge for Terrell Suggs.

He is one of the most beloved players in Ravens history, joining the likes of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, but instead the Arizona Cardinals first road game in the Kliff Kingsbury era will be a return to Suggs’ second home.

It will be an opportunity for Suggs to show that he made the right decision and went to a team in the Arizona Cardinals who are going to give him a chance to build on the 132.5 sacks, which has him tied for 13th on the All Time list in the NFL.

Suggs has a chance to leap into the top 6-7 with another good season, as he sits nine sacks behind Michael Strahan who is sixth on the list.

Suggs has a chance to bookend his football career in Arizona, where it started with the Hamilton Huskies and Arizona State Sun Devils.

Let’s hope he proves himself right.
