Whether you are a hardcore gamer or casual fan, everyone knows about Madden. They are the only game with NFL licensing and their player ratings have been used for years by players and fans as a basis for arguments.

One of the most talked about dates every year is the release of the new class of rookies ratings and today, EA Sports released the Madden 20 ratings for the rookies in the 2019 NFL Draft class.

Some notables on the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Kyler Murray is the top quarterback with a 73 rating, edging out Dwayne Haskins Jr.
  • Murray is tied for the 18th highest rated rookie with his 73 and is not the highest rated Arizona Cardinal.
  • Byron Murphy is tied for the 10th highest rated rookie in the game with a 75. The margin is razor thin, with the top rookie this year ranking as an 80, belonging to Quinnen Williams.
  • The Arizona Cardinals have four rookies with a 70 or higher rating:
  1. Bryon Murphy (75)
  2. Kyler Murray (73)
  3. Hakeem Butler (72)
  4. Andy Isabella (72)

I think based on what I’ve heard coming out of mini-camp, that people are a bit too high on Butler and a bit too low on Isabella.

What do you think of the rankings?
