It is day four of training camp 2019 with the Arizona Cardinals and let’s get started with a “What the hell” moment of the day.
HAHAHAHA woooooow Whiz was gonna trade away the team for Kevin Freaking Kolb, amazing. https://t.co/FizDqhpXmf

I mean… what the hell!?!
I might get a lot of people who totally disagree with this but I have a take after a few live practices and we’ll see cause things can change but...
— Blake Allen Murf (@blakemurphy7) July 28, 2019
I think that it’s clear so far that Kyler’s floor might be higher than Josh Rosen’s ceiling. Certainly his camp highs/lows are>>>
Blake’s been on the ground, he’s also had some enlightening conversations.
The buzz within the building is intense.
The buzz outside will continue to grow.
Kingsbury said Chandler Jones and Corey Peters sat out yesterday as veterans' days off. Today, Larry Fitzgerald and Terrell Suggs will get the day off.

There’s that.
Kliff Kingsbury on the release of DL Robert Nkemdiche:
— Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) July 28, 2019
"It's a performance-based business. We decided as an organization it was best for us. We wish him well and hope he gets a fresh start somewhere."
Also this.
Barring a slump, Zane Gonzalez seems locked in as the Cardinals' kicker heading into the season. Kingsbury: "He’s kicking with a lot of confidence, and that’s what we want. He’s a tremendous talent, and when he’s confident, he’s really, really good."
— Kyle Odegard (@Kyle_Odegard) July 28, 2019
Good to see good things from Zane Gonzalez thus far. The Arizona Cardinals will be in games, they need a reliable kicker.
Kingsbury on why Kyler Murray doesn't have a locker in the team's main locker room and remains in the auxiliary locker room with the rest of the rookies: "I didn't want to break that group up. Those guys have got to earn their way into that locker room and he's going to do that."
— Bob McManaman (@azbobbymac) July 28, 2019
It makes sense. They gave him the job, but earning what the vets have is important and sets a good precedent.
Kingsbury: Impressed with rookies KeeSean Johnson ("he's picked up the system really, really quickly") and Zach Allen ("he's definitely going to have a role with that group")#CardsCamp

Hmmm.
Today, Mason Cole and A.Q. Shipley both swapping time on first and second team today.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
The one battle to watch.
And it looks like the other vet to get the day off is Patrick Peterson. Alford, Brock are 2 CBs in base defense.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
This is the other battle to watch. It’s Robert Alford and who at the other corner position? It’s Tramaine Brock right now, playing a position he doesn’t prefer.
How long until Byron Murphy?
2nd team CBs are Chris Jones and UDFA Nate Brooks outside with Deatrick Nichols inside.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
Depth is something.
Hakeem Butler makes a one-handed grab over Chris Jones in 1-on-1 for a TD. Nicely done.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
Someone is feeling the pressure and stepping up.
Andy Isabella catches a TD pass with Josh Shaw all over him.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
Someone keeps playing well.
Butler goes up over Jones for another TD catch, this time 2 hands, in the corner of the end zone.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
Cardinals' first-team defense has Tramaine Brock at outside CB and Byron Murphy in the slot. Patrick Peterson getting a rest day.
— Kyle Odegard (@Kyle_Odegard) July 28, 2019
Murphy is phenomenal in the slot. I’m excited to see him play in this league.
UDFA QB Drew Anderson getting 3rd-team reps ahead of Charles Kanoff.
— Jess Root (@senorjessroot) July 28, 2019
For those asking about Chad Kanoff.
He’s not long for the roster.
In 7-on-7, Christian Kirk with a nasty double-move and Kyler Murray dropped the pass in beautifully. RB Chase Edmonds clapped in appreciation.

Let’s go!
It was another good practice. The Arizona Cardinals offensive talent is a bit underrated at this point. However, it will all come down to what the offensive line can do and I want to temper my own excitement.
Let’s get to week six or seven.
I think I can make it that long.
