While the Arizona Cardinals continue training camp 2019, they also continue to churn their roster.
According to the team, the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a contract with veteran outside linebacker Andre Branch.
Branch (30) is a seven year veteran who has been a nice player over his career, but has never blossomed into the big time pass rusher people were hoping he’d be coming out of Clemson.
Through his career, Branch has 25.5 sacks and 34 tackles for loss. He has been a starter in 39 match ups, but has played in 95 games in his career.
The signing of Branch means the Cardinals have a four-man veteran rotation at outside linebacker, with Chandler Jones and Terrell Suggs starting and Brooks Reed and newly signed Branch as the primary backups.
A backup role will probably suit Branch, who has only played in 16 games in his career one time, but has been a productive rotational player over his career.
What do you think of the signing of Branch?
