Arizona Cardinals tempers settle down on day six of training camp

NFL: Arizona Cardinals-Training Camp Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

We are halfway through the week and heading towards the Arizona Cardinals 2019 Red and White Practice.

However, there was an early practice today, so let’s see what happened.

It’s like the old Crocodile Dundee gag, that’s not a knife…

I think when you see the emphasis that’s been put on the offense, and the strain and expectations of the offense, when there are failures, it will cause some tempers.

I’m excited to see David Johnson in this offense. I think running out of 10 and 11 personnel is going to suit DJ, allowing him to work in space as opposed to a traditional running back role, which is not his forte.

Again, smart. Not like the Cardinals will be playing all 16 inside the Farm.

It feels… Different. I honestly don’t know how else to put it.

But, we have to remember he’s just a rookie as well.

That’s where the difference really lies.

These are the plays that you won’t see in the preseason when Kliff Kingsbury talks about being vanilla.

I talked with Jess on the podcast, I think this is why they wanted Andre Branch over Longacre. They see Branch has a OLB3 and with Brooks Reed’s health, Reed can be the OLB4.

It was a matter of time.

I think… think that is Jordan Hicks in coverage. May be Joe Walker I can’t tell if it’s 58 or 59.

Either way, that’s what the Cardinals want to do this year. Go multiples and find a RB like Chase Edmonds or David Johnson on a LB in coverage. Force the matchups in your favor.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
