Arizona Cardinals claim Jeff Holland off waivers

The Arizona Cardinals continue to be busy on the waiver wire and in free agency.

Like that friend in fantasy football who makes all the claims, Steve Keim has used his waiver wire priority to get the guys he wants.

This time, it is former Denver Broncos undrafted free agent outside linebacker Jeff Holland.

From the team:

Holland (6-2, 249) played in three games with Denver last season and had six tackles after beginning the season on the Broncos practice squad. He entered the league with Denver as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2018 out of Auburn. The 23-year old Holland was a first-team All-SEC selection as a junior at Auburn in 2017 after collecting 45 tackles,10 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Holland will wear jersey #93.

Holland was one of those players who got bad advice. After a stellar junior season at Auburn, he made the decision to go pro. It did not work out, as he went undrafted.

However, he collected a paycheck as a practice squad player and three game checks, so maybe the advice wasn’t awful.

He’ll give the Cardinals some young legs at the linebacker position.

Welcome to the team, Jeff.
