The transformation of a fan's stability with the situation of the Arizona Cardinals in just one week

to nSo I went to the Arizona Cardinals game last weekend against the Chargers and I went yesterday against the Raiders but here is the almost mental change that I have went through regarding the Cardinals just in the last two weeks.

So I walk into the stadium with the new electronic stuff (that kind of pisses me off) and I go straight to the red zone area bathroom right next to the locker room and I see David Johnson next to Kyler Murray walking onto the field and it was like I was seeing a person standing next to another person twice his size. I was so stunned that I spent the rest of the time thinking leading up to like player introductions thinking about how the heck this is going to work. Then at player introductions, they played this sort of inspirational type video and then they introduce the defensive starters and now two of them will not even probably play a snap in Cardinals uniform this year (Philon and Alford). I did not know what was going to happen with the defense on the first drive but all everybody cared about was watching Kyler Murray. So after Kyler Murray went like 7/7 (If not for the penalty on the first drive) everybody around me just started going back to the parking lot but I stayed till the end of the first half to finally watch the Cardinals score points. I felt soo good about where the Cardinals were going that night until I woke up the next morning when Darius Philon got arrested and then released. Everybody watched the Cardinals defense get shredded against Austin Ekelar and if Jordan Hicks had not stripped the ball and recovered, the Cardinals probably would have lost that game.

Feel Good Scale of 1-10:

Before Game: 4

After 1st half: 7

Next morning: 3

After Philon got released, I immediately thought that the Cardinals are going to sign someone like Liuget or Peko but who the heck is Holland. For gods sake, I thought that the Cardinals needed to go get somebody to replace Philon and they just add another outside linebacker. Then, I watched a Cardinals camp video on twitter and it looks like the defense has adjusted to playing a college offense and not an NFL offense. Then I realized that the Cardinals struggles on defense might be because they have not gotten enough snaps against a traditional NFL offense. Then, it was Wednesday night and I realized that Antonio Brown was coming back to the Raiders and I thought I might get to watch some Antonio Brown vs Patrick Peterson but as I soon realized.....

When I got to the stadium at like 4:30 yesterday, I see Antonio Brown in his uniform running routes and I got super excited but then when I looked him up, they were going to sit him. Why the heck would you sit a player and not let him play a single snap when he has a uniform on. A bunch of crazy Raider fans (who like infiltrated the stadium) were sitting next to me and then I realize that they are all like screaming

"ANTONIO"

again and again until like their freiken throats didn't dry up of screaming. If that was not enough to make my day worse, Kingsbury said that Alford was injured and will likely not play for a while. Then, I watch the entire first half and realize that Kingsbury and Kyler not a net of 12 yards in like the first 27 minutes of the game. I thought that this offense was about the flash and dash but there was no Isabella or Edmonds on any plays till like Hundley came in. I get the growing pains stuff but cmon there is no reason to not build up that chemistry in the game. I also saw that all the twitter GIFs went from

"That's my quarterback" in week 1 to a "I told u so" or "Bust" in Week 2

The thing that impressed me the most about the game was that the Cardinals did not give up on Kingsbury, they fought back and that is what really matters to me. The Cardinals quit on Wilks when they trailed early and Kingsbury didn't let that happen. It is not all that common for a team down 26-0 at one point to keep their composure and make it a one score game at the end. I think that this was the biggest sign of successful coaches and I was delighted to see it. Even though it was not great when Josh Jacobs ran the ball down the Cardinals throats, even in a preseason game it is great to see a team regroup. As I exited the stadium, I actually felt better about the long run outlook of the team even though the lost and Kyler didn't play well.

Feel Good Scale after Week 2:

About Kyler Murray's rookie year: 2

About Kliff and Kyler's long run outlook: 7

About starting defense: 1

About defensive and offensive depth: 9

Key Takeaways:

1. Great Depth

2. SHERFEILD

3. Hundley could be a good bridge QB...….

4. Defensive line starters need too much work to be possible

5. Without P2, defense will allow 35 ppg

WR Depth Chart Projection:

1. Fitzgerald

2. Kirk

3. Sherfeild

4. Johnson

5. Isabella

6. Byrd

7. Butler

If 8 taken:

8. White

What do you think about the Cardinals long run stability?
