Cards 53 Update: Post OAK 33 AZ 26

QB (2): Murray, Hundley

  • Murray (3/8, 12 yds. 2 sacks, 1 safety, 1/4/4.0 rushing) and the 1st team offense was out of sync, thanks to a “laundry basket” (R. Ban) of penalty flags and an array of Raider blitzes.
  • Hundley (10/15, 139, 13.9 ave, 1 TD, 0 sacks, 3/26/.8.7 rushing) thwarted the Raiders’ 1st quarter domination and with sharp passing and running got the Cardinals on the scoreboard.
  • Others: Chad Kanoff (2/6, 65 yds./1 TD/1 sack) and Drew Anderson (6/9, 59 yds./1 TD/0 sacks).

RB (3): Johnson^, Edmonds, Logan

  • Johnson (4/6/1.5 rushing1//-3/-3 receiving) looks lethargic and tentative again this season, just the way Tyrann Mathieu did after he got $13M a year.
  • Edmonds (2/31/15.5) flashed as a receiver out of the backfield this week.
  • Logan (5/15/3.0) popped one 9 yard run, but was held to 6 yards on his other 4 carries. He was solid on kickoff returns with 3 returns for 71 yards an average of 23.7.
  • Others: Strickland (2/15/7.5 rushing and 1/11/11.0 receiving) was the most productive back of the night, although Wes Hills was solid again too (2/14/7.0 rushing, 1/6/6.0 receiving).

TE (3): Clay#, Williams, Wilson*

  • Clay was a full go at practice yesterday and may play on Saturday night in Minnesota.
  • Williams wasn’t targeted as a receiver but he graded well in pass blocking (70.2) and run blocking (69.3), per PFF.
  • Wilson scored a TD on the final play of the game and earned a 62.4 passing game grade, an upgrade from Ricky-Seals Jones’ 42.5 grade.

WR (7): Fitzgerald, Kirk, Sherfield, Johnson, Isabella, Butler, Cooper

  • Sherfield (76.2), Johnson (68.2), Isabella (66.4) and Cooper (80.4) were 4 the Cardinals’ top 10 grades on offense. Cooper’s grade was #1.

OL (10): Humphries^, Cole, Shipley, Sweezy^, Gilbert, Cunningham*, Pugh^#, Miles, Gaillard, Sweet*
