The Arizona Cardinals need their offensive line to be healthy.
While many were expecting, maybe hoping, that the Cardinals Mason Cole would take the next step in his career, after the first two preseason games, it is clear that Justin Pugh is the better option at the left guard position.
Cole’s limitations continue to be his play strength, play strength is not lifting strength so please don’t quote me his bench press numbers.
It showed again this week after a poor showing in week one.

Cole just struggles right now to anchor and keep the opposition at least to a stalemate.
Pugh came back to practice yesterday, something important for the team as they get ready for the third preseason game.
It explains why the team seemed more apt to keep A.Q. Shipley at the center position over letting Cole keep the spot.
Let’s hope that Pugh comes back rested and ready to go and the Cardinals offensive line can see some improvement heading into the regular season.
