We are onto the Los Angeles Chargers.
After 11 workouts the Cardinals get a chance to take on another team and give us our first look at the Kliff Kingsbury era.
However, they had a practice yesterday and we have a couple of notes that stood out.
Let’s get to it.
- Andy Isabella is back, Marcus Gilbert is out - Isabella has had a nice camp, but the rookie has missed the last several practices after a slight knee injury. It is good to see him back, but in exchange Gilbert tweaked a groin and missed. Hopefully both are back on Thursday against the Chargers.
- Byron Murphy has a foot issue - It is beginning. Murphy needs some reps, so we’ll see if he is ready for Thursday night.
- Lamont Gaillard getting reps with the one’s - With Justin Pugh hurting, A.Q. Shipley on a vets day off, it meant the rookie running at center with the first team while Mason Cole continued to man the left guard position.
- Cardinals will give you “normal” looks - I-Formation for you old school football guys.
- Damiere Byrd has a real shot at the roster - A dual threat return man with the ability to work as a deep threat wide receiver? He seems to have the advantage over Pharoh Cooper at this stage.
It is almost here.
